The third graders performed, "The First Thanksgiving" for their Thanksgiving play. They got to act out parts of Indians and Pilgrims to tell the story of how the first Thanksgiving got started. They were able to share the trouble and hard times the Pilgrims had to go through to eventually better their lives, and how the Indians had helped them on their way. This year was Mrs. Schooler's thirty-fifth year of teaching third grade here at Northern Valley. It was also her thirty-fifth year of doing a Thanksgiving play with the third grade class. The third graders worked hard for two weeks before presenting the play in front of kindergarten through fourth grade, and their parents and grandparents. The play turned out very well for the third graders. They all worked hard and did very good acting out their parts."The First Thanksgiving" was also another success for Mrs. Schooler for the thirty-fifth time.
